Basic Reading Our acclaimed reading program concentrates on the basic skills needed for long term success in reading. Some of the key features include: Comprehension (Literal, Inferential and Critical Thinking Skills), Vocabulary Skills (Meanings, Analogies, Multi-Meaning Words, Prefixes and Suffixes), Phonics, oral reading and Sight Words. We also address key applications like Reference Skills, Reading Rate, Listening Comprehension and Spelling. Students are tested to find specific skills in need of direct instruction prior to enrollment.
Basic Math Our instructional approach for math focuses on students being able to both understand AND apply math skills. This program is designed for all grade levels and teaches students HOW to apply the skills they have learned! Math makes MUCH more sense that way. Fundamentals of this popular program include: Developmental Skills (Computation Basics, Speed w/those “hated” facts of addition, multiplication, etc.) , Varied Instructional Approaches and many user-friendly “Real-Life” Application Materials. Analysis of Student Errors (learning from your mistakes!) is a HUGE part also!! Testing is used to identify those skill gaps in need of attention.

Courses for credit are offered virtually year-round and students can
start anytime! According to the needed credit, these classes are offered
either via individualized,one-on-one classes or through a self-paced,
work-on-your own format. A+ can do credit work due to our organization
being fully accredited & certified by the renowned Southern
Association Of Colleges & Schools (SACS).
ACT/SAT Prep For the student preparing for college or challenging college entrance examinations, this program involves strategies in math/verbal skills, when/how to “guess” (or NOT) when you can’t figure out a question and critical thinking skills vital for college or ACT/SAT success. The program also focuses on needed, effective test-taking strategies and study techniques. Some of the program’s key features include: Antonyms, Analogies, Grammar and Usage, Punctuation, Sentence Structure and Completion, Word Effectiveness, Rhetorical Skills, Comprehension, General Math, Trigonometry, and-of course-attacking sample ACT/SATs for practice. Clients are also coached on when to “guess” and not on their critical entrance exams.
Algebra Our custom-designed Algebra program is built for ANY lower-level Algebra student, as well as those requiring specific skills enhancement on the higher level coursework. Some of the areas covered are: Operations, Linear Equations, Polynomials, Radicals and those dreaded Quadratic Equations! As in our Math Program, Analysis of Student Errors to enhance understanding & imp Homework Help & Support. Students are tested to identify skill gaps.
Study Skills Our Study Skills program is designed for students who perform on grade level but still need efficient & effective study techniques. Key features always include: Study Strategies, Organizational and Time Management Skills, Listening/Note Taking/ Outlining Skills, Reading and Test-Taking Strategies and Behavior Management Practices. This program is directly applied to the student’s schoolwork. Testing to identify deficient skills and weaknesses is used.
Writing Designed to improve writing skills, this important program teaches the process approach to writing paragraphs, letters and essays, while stressing writing fundamentals. Editing skills are also sharpened. Our students learn to ‘publish’ their writings & essays with a user-friendly word processing program. Other features include: “How To” Work Experience with Reference Materials, Sentence Building, English Mechanics Work, Self Evaluation/Critique and Word Processing Experience.
